kartıdır. Çözüm stratejimiz olarak, ekibimizi donanım ve yazılım ekiplerine ayırdık. Donanım için;
Abstract
The objective of this project that we have worked on with Arçelik, is to lower the energy
consumption of refrigerators and to set the stage for more efficient use of natural resources. Our goal
was to create a practical, affordable technique of lowering refrigerator energy use. The main
component of our project was the Pangea card. We have divided our team into hardware and software
teams as our solution strategy. For hardware; according to our measurements, it was observed that the
output switch voltage is considerably lower than the maximum voltage suggested for the switch
TNY288K. So, we have increased the parallel resistances until the output switch voltage becomes closer
but still lower than the maximum voltage. We have seen a 1% increase in efficiency with our
modifications. Furthermore, it was seen that the IGBT can work with 15V, therefore we have reduced
the winding of the inductor from 17 to 15. With this, we have observed 17.6% more efficient board.
The software team's goal was to create an RPM switching algorithm that made decisions conditional
to the thermal load. Cooldown simulations at various RPM values and fridge loads were carried out.
We created load estimation functions for the RPM values. We developed an RPM switching algorithm
using these functions. With this implemented, we can observe a 13.8% decrease in power consumption
for the first cooldown.
