The team, consisting of Bilkent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Emre Toksoy, Eren Polat, Atalay Üstündağ, along with Boğaziçi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering student Eyüp Tarık Engin, participated in the “HANGAR Campus” program of Turkish Aerospace with their project titled “Jammer-Resistant Global Positioning System.”
A total of 98 teams, comprising over 200 undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students from more than 20 universities, took part in the program.
Our students presented their project to a jury of executives from Turkish Aerospace, SSTEK, Teknopark Ankara, and Teknopark Istanbul and answered their questions regarding the project. Following the jury’s evaluation, they were selected as the first team among the 12 finalists for Demo Day, earning 1st place award and a one-year incubation office at Ankara Teknopark.
“HANGAR Campus is an open innovation program where Turkish Aerospace offers comprehensive support to undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students to transform their business ideas into marketable business models.
The program ensures the development of product, service, and/or business model innovations on the topics covered in each semester related to Turkish Aerospace products and project processes. It aims to develop entrepreneurial skills of young talents, offering entrepreneur graduates to the ecosystem.”
