EEE Faculty member Dr. Özlem Tuğfe Demir received the 2026 Distinguished Young Scientist (BAGEP) Award in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
BAGEP awards have been given by the Science Academy Association (Bilim Akademisi Derneği) since 2013. The objective of the BAGEP award is to reward the most brilliant and promising young academics with a prestigious grant that will help them advance their studies.
Dr. Özlem Tuğfe Demir received this award in recognition of her outstanding achievements and promise as a young researcher in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Previous winners of the BAGEP Award in the EEE Department include Prof. Serdar Kozat, Prof. Sinan Gezici, Prof. Tolga Çukur, Assoc. Prof. Emine Ülkü Sarıtaş, Assoc. Prof. Cem Tekin, Assoc. Prof. Aykut Koç, and Dr. Erdinç Tatar.
