Bilkent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Ph.D. graduates Dr. Serkan Sarıtaş and Dr. Çağrı Göken received the 2020 IEEE Turkey Doctoral Thesis Award.
Dr. Serkan Sarıtaş received the award with his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Signaling Games in Networked Systems”. Dr. Sarıtaş completed his Ph.D. studies in 2018 under the co-supervision of Prof. Sinan Gezici and Prof. Serdar Yüksel.
Dr. Çağrı Göken has received the award for his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Optimal parameter encoding strategies for estimation theoretic secure communications” completed in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Sinan Gezici.
IEEE Turkey has started this award program 2017 to recognize the best doctoral theses completed at Turkish universities in IEEE research fields. In the last four years, there have been a total of 21 awardees, including two other Bilkent EEE doctoral graduates Dr. Sina Rezaei Aghdam who received the award in 2018, and Dr. Musa Furkan Keskin who received the award in 2019.
