Bilkent EEE Ph.D. graduates Dr. Niyazi Koray Ertan and Dr. Çağrı Göken received the 2020 Serhat Özyar Young Scientist of the Year Awards.

Dr. Ertan has received the award for his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Design and applications of a Z-gradient array in magnetic resonance imaging” completed in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Ergin Atalar.
Dr. Göken has received the award for his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Optimal parameter encoding strategies for estimation theoretic secure communications” completed in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Sinan Gezici.
